Goldstar takes perennial New Yorkers, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT's exploration of the extreme and arcane and delivers the band’s most focused, authentic and accessible work to date. Featuring guest appearances by Meshuggah drummer Thomas Haake and legendary drummer, Dave Lombardo, both of whose presence makes it clear that musically, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT are in a class by themselves. In their vision of urban disorder, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT's monolithic cityscapes are dark as any of their extreme or black metal brethren.

Three years after their debut offering, the festering cadaver of Vancouver’s Grave Infestation, has risen again —ghastlier and more ravenous than ever before. Unleashed through a profane alliance between Dark Descent Records and Invictus Productions, Carnage Gathers emerges as a monstrous abomination, tearing flesh and sinew from the twisted legacies of Autopsy, Grave, Nihilist, Repulsion, and Abhorrence. These severed limbs and organs are stitched together into a horrifying golem of their own blasphemous design.

“It’s a frantic death metal assault! Violent, and unrelenting. The fast parts are faster, the slow parts are slower and everything is just plain nastier. It's like we made an album that sounds like it came out even before our first album,” the band says.

A putrid production, steeped in decay and malevolence, is the lifeblood of death metal. What we have here might just be one of the most grotesquely brilliant productions of the year. “The album was recorded and mixed with engineer Greg Wilkinson at the infamous Earhammer Studios in Oakland, producing a vile record that is a sonic push forward,” states vocalist/guitarist Graham Christofferson. “We wanted the album dripping with disgustingness and bringing forward elements we love about sick, underground death metal. The great thing about working with Greg is he's entrenched in the music we love and play. He could see our vision, and helped us make it happen. He had death metal solutions for death metal problems, along with great old cabinets and amps. Even the studio itself gives off deathly ambience."

The record comes infested with macabre verses and cover artwork, the latter courtesy of the notorious Misanthropic Illustrations: “Each song references a story of someone’s strange relationship to death, real or fictitious,” reveals Christofferson. “The cover art is related to the track The Anthropophagus, it's about a 17th century French cannibal hermit. That's the cave he lived in. People called him the Anthropophagus, which means cannibal, but he was just basically starved to madness."

Grave Infestation will join forces with Quebecois death dealers Sedimentum in disgracing the rotting stages of Europe in March 2025.

RELEASE NOTES ORIGINALLY VIA EVERLASTING SPEW RECORDS:

BECERUS are back unleashing a new hail of cavernous grunts, a peculiar love letter to the 90"s Death Metal scene adorned with lava riffs and neanderthalian growls!
Burn your school diplomas and join the troglodytes!

Becerus is a fetid death metal creature of singer Mario (Balatonizer) and guitarist/bassist Giorgio (Assumption, Bottomless and more). Mysterious drummer and bone wielder Paul Bicipitus instantly joined the project to make some primitive noise in the common cave.
After their debut album "Homo Homini Brutus", the band is now back with the explicitly titled "Troglodytes".

The only aim of the band is playing the most vile and decerebrate form of music ever made while worshipping the gross and ungainly figure of the mighty Becer, a disgusting, hostile creature whose muscles, dirty hair and belly instantly scare every living thing crossing his path. Becerus is about brutal and mortal death metal so, if Broken Hope, Monstrosity, early Cannibal Corpse and Baphomet are your thing, then you'll be fine with these cavemen.

DØDHEIMSGARD – BLACK MEDIUM CURRENT

Mind - Impression – Idea – Belief – Semblance - Reality

A journey through the boundless layers of existence, for the new studio album of indrawn, brooding black metal from the Norwegian pioneers.

‘Black Medium Current’ is the sixth studio album by longstanding Norwegian avant-garde pioneers Dødheimsgard. From their influential and successful beginnings as a raw and grim black metal outfit established during the ongoing swelling of the “second wave” in the early-mid 90s, Dødheimsgard has subsequently evolved into a truly eclectic behemoth with each landmark release; a band now undoubtedly adorned with the mastery of mood and texture through intricate, dark metallic wonderment and unnerving eloquence.

‘Black Medium Current’ continues on the path set by 2015’s monumental and universally lauded ‘A Umbra Omega’ album; itself a deeply poignant and potent release of vast maturity and insight. And now mastermind Yusaf ‘Vicotnik’ Parvez returns with this expansive 70 minute venture through the fettered layers of the bleak existential cosmos. The result is an absorbing exploration through the fragility of the mind - nurtured and ultimately unmade through a process of belief and endless turmoil and contradiction, and how it sews itself into our reality.

‘Black Medium Current’ also represents a very personal album for Vicotnik, riding the torrents of tribulation and loss, lusciously entwined within creation. Haunting, cathartic and exquisite moments of reflection, dissected, and presented as a meticulously woven canvas of masterful and stirring music taking in a whole host of atmospheres and soundscapes encompassing the divine and the bizarre, from the depths of black metal, to sombre more classically centred piano pieces.

‘Black Medium Current’ was recorded and mixed at Top-Room Studios by Matias Aaversen, and produced by Vicotnik himself, with cover art courtesy of Łukasz Jaszak.
