The country playlist/album is taking shape.
Two new songs. First up, "Give You My Love."
New music from me to you:
I had written and recorded this folk/country song. It was just me playing the guitar and singing. Then I had this dream.
I climbed a tall mountain. There, at the very top, sat Bob Marley. He said to me, "Your song, man. It needs percussion." I said, "Okay." He said, "And bass. Lots of bass. Oh! And maybe try a better rhythm, man!"
"Got it!"
Suddenly, Elton John parachuted in, knocking Bob down the mountain slope. He wore those really big glasses and bright red boots. With parachute dangling like a cape, he exclaims, "That's much better than that dirge you had! Now, let me show you how to mix this! There are other instruments!"
"Perfect!," I replied. "Is this everything I should do?"
"Oh, and do lose the sad guitar. Ugh."
Like God's shoes, here is that song, produced by Elton John and Bob Marley!
People asked me to record and post songs I wrote and turned in for "Appreciating Country Music," a humanities course I took in college way back when we rode chariots to school. I'm 99% sure this was one of them. 👍 🤠 🎸 The acoustic guitar is an old Goya my dad once gave my mom for Christmas.

New music for your ears.
A cover of Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away" by me and a visiting bassist from a California band I was in, recorded in a living room in Texas.
