<p>finished watching <a href="https://neodb.kevga.de/search?r=1&q=https://eggplant.place/movie/5LpDfqkhOe6Em56nZNw35H" rel="nofollow">C.H.U.D.</a> <br>C.H.U.D. stands for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers... or does it?</p><p>This B movie is surprisingly watchable despite taking itself too seriously. Maybe it's the gritty urban setting, making it look like a 70s, socially conscious, cop drama... This gives it a patina of respectability, but then you have lightbulb-eyed rubber monsters straight from the 50s' cheapest sci-fi, which I respect but I understand that it's not a well respected film staple.</p><p>Look, it's a weird combo, and I like weird combos. Also John Goodman is on this for a few seconds, so I give this movie a heartfelt 👍. <p>finished watching <a href="https://neodb.kevga.de/search?r=1&q=https://neodb.social/movie/7UHAjKx6K6rQA61hfG7JeJ" rel="nofollow">Lars and the Real Girl</a> 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 <br>Finally got around to watching this one. So awkward! Had me sweating like I was running a marathon. Also cute and humane. Gosling is fantastic here. Near-perfect movie, in my book, except that I found it difficult to believe that any town—even one in Canada—could be filled with so many people who would be so patient and understanding. But that's the cynic in me, and that fucker can sit down and shut up for one sweet movie.</p><p><a href="/tags/movies/" rel="tag">#Movies</a><br></p>
<p>finished watching <a href="https://neodb.kevga.de/search?r=1&q=https://eggplant.place/movie/6vdn9yP0d15rKYlZ4uwFRj" rel="nofollow">Aliens</a> <br>I set my sense of the colour blue to the cinematography of this movie. It had that great of an aesthetic influence on me during my early childhood, I guess, but anyway, that's how I calibrate my brain now. The problem is that the first Blu-ray made everything green and killed the pinks, I've tried to adapt but it's a different movie, and the AI remaster... well, just fuck you, Jim, I couldn't even finish it.</p><p>So here I am, having to watch my painfully low-res DVD to remember how colour is done. Is it worth it? YES. Will I eventually regrade the Blu-ray myself? Probably. Am I right in the head? It was…distressing. I'm not mad I watched it. <p>finished watching <a href="https://neodb.kevga.de/search?r=1&q=https://eggplant.place/movie/7ZuxJYXm27GivY1XNZMqQH" rel="nofollow">Good Boy</a> <br>I'm not enthusiastic about the horror plot, and the dog's perspective could have been used in more interesting ways, but the bond between a dog and his human?
