<p>Rated <a href="https://neodb.kevga.de/search?r=1&q=https://bridge.neodb.net/catalog/album/mbId-e51e9779-2edc-3b39-959c-299fdb5ed940" rel="nofollow">Master of Reality</a> 10/10</p><p>People always talk about the first four Sabbath albums, and while I&#x27;m not doing Vol 4 down, this is clearly the peak, as far as I&#x27;m concerned, mainly down to the absolutely monstrous sound of it, which leaves Vol 4 sounding a little anemic, in comparison. But then I may just be biased due to the fact that at least half of the albums I own are trying to sound exactly like this one.</p>

Or perhaps want to share your thoughts on an album you love?</p><p>Dig if you will the 1001 Other Albums project, a collective effort of over 130 Fedizens to create &quot;The List&quot; of over 1001 recommended and often over-looked albums from all genres and more than 115 different places/peoples (<a href="https://1001otheralbums.com/the-list/" rel="nofollow"><span class="invisible">https://</span>1001otheralbums.com/the-list/</a>)! Think &quot;1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die&quot;, but, like, NOT just Western pop. We chose these albums not because of popularity or influencers or algorithms, but rather because they’re important to us personally as Certified Major Music Nerds™️ and/or represent bands/genres/peoples not given enough love in &#x27;official&#x27; lists.</p><p>As part of the project, for the last 2.5+ years we&#x27;ve featured an album from The List every few days on the 1001 Other Albums blog (<a href="https://1001otheralbums.com/" rel="nofollow"><span class="invisible">https://</span>1001otheralbums.com/</a>). These spotlights are written by either guest Fedizen contributors or project steward <span class="h-card"><a href="https://mas.to/@buffyleigh" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>buffyleigh</span></a></span>, and are automatically cross-posted in full to the Fediverse at <span class="h-card"><a href="https://1001otheralbums.com" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>1001otheralbums.com</span></a></span>. New spotlights are also hand-summarized and linked here on linernotes.club. The plan is to eventually look at every album on The List, and so far we’ve spotlit 270 albums!
