After seeing the video from the GaryH Tech channel (@garyhtech) I tried #NetBSD on real hardware for the first time too. The installation really was not as intuitive to me as #OpenBSD and #FreeBSD , especially I was trying to install the system to a separate partition alongside FreeBSD on the same disk. But hey I finally did it after some googling!

I was just about to complain why #pkgin in #NetBSD about having long commands like install, search and list and no short form like install for #pkg in #FreeBSD and then pkgin without any argument slaps me in the face and say no you can just use in se ls for install search and list

So, one of my resolutions this year was to write more code.
I love to break stuff, but last year I reignited my passion for coding and I would really love to contribute to the community that has given me so much and continues to do so.
And contributing works a lot better by creating, rather than breaking.

So I created a codeberg account. And I already have a first repo published!
I called it Axmar.
Axmar is a C# implementation of the SilentHarvest technique that was published last year.
It uses backup access and rarely used APIs to (mostly) stealthily read the local credentials database in Windows system.

Mein "altes" Surface Pro 6 aus dem Jahr 2018 möchte ich gern mit Linux weiterbetreiben.

Das Linux-on-Surface-Projekt ist mir bereits bekannt.

Meine Frage:

Auf meinem ThinkPad läuft derzeit Linux Mint. Cinnamon finde ich aber nicht optimal auf Touchscreen-Bedienung ausgelegt. Welche Distro bzw. welcher Desktop ist in euren Augen gut für klassische Desktop-Arbeit *und* Touch geeignet?

Derzeit tendiere ich zu Ubuntu ...
